Here comes weekdays = working days... had a very good sleep on Saturday night but had a bad one on Sunday night ish ish ish... >.< I need to find a way to let myself sleep better consistently!

Maybe i was too tense all this while for all the things happened recently... was reading the latest issue of Cleo and came across this very 'rejuvenating' column - Bootcamp for the soul. Definitely a very useful guide for me and maybe for people who are having a stressful life. I gonna start practicing and work it out for my days of carefree life! ^^

a few good tips (which i can totally relate :p) mentioned in the column...

1. Self acceptance
Having personal and professional goal is encouraged, but perfection is not reality. Ask youself "Is this important to me?" "Does it make me happy?" "Is it taking me a step closer to my big goal?"

2. Work / life balance
Do something you enjoy everyday, like listening to music, ringing a friend or reading a magazine. It's about quality not quantity. Be it just for 15 minutes, get a time for yourself.

3. Learn from your mistakes
There's no failure, only feedback. Pick out things to learn from even if it's a really negative situation. Personal growth stems from painful experiences!

4. Find the good in the bad
It's about making a negative situation positive! E.g If your boss or colleagues is in a bad mood one day, you may thing he/she doesn't like you or that you've done somehthing wrong, when in fact they may have just received some bad news. So before taking it personally, ask yourself whether there could be another explanation for their behaviour - often there will be.

Weekend always pass by so fast you won't even notice... then here comes long weekday again. I don't usually have Monday blue, but worse I have developed weekday blue. During my 8 hours of sitting in my office, i can feel that the atmosphere is so intense. Can't breath, can't allow myself to relax. Constantly reminding myself to be aware of what's happening around, refreshing my screen to check if anything goes wrong...

People being harsh, being stern, being an ASS! and told me did not intend to be one but is just because want me to learn through the hard way. I have thought of escaping, but wanna keep holding on because i still believe i'm able to fight it through. I have questioned myself over and over again is it worthwhile, but deep down inside i know i'm not ready to let it go just yet. Just give me a little more time...

i'm still on holiday mood even though i'm now sitting in my office....

My office feel so empty today, i'm the only one in my team who's working today...

Just back from Genting Highlands yesterday, the fireworks is awesome!! This is my first time seeing fireworks from near distance.

Met up fei loh with Siang at Genting, loitering around the casino and First World Plaza.... we had a heart-to-heart chat at Coffee bean about what's going on lately with our life ... i heart u guys for being so supportive =)

I admit I can get angry easily recently, mostly due to work stress. I'm still learning all I could for the role I am placed at, finding my path to fit in to the company culture, their way of doing things, to push myself to achieve what I am supposed to achieve in my position...

It all pushes me to my limit where I'm starting to become short-tempered, pessimistic, full of anger.... all the symptoms that I do not wish to see on myself.

I have now decided to let myself to understand that there are things that I cannot do now, there are things we need to learn through experience, and I should be happy if I have already tried my best 做好自己本份.

Friday,
Had dinner with Canny at Kirara mamak stall Sri Petaling around 8 something, perfect timing to witness the Beijing Olympic opening ceremony. The ceremony is amazing! The choreography is awesome, I'm really amazed at the effort China put into this event, must be tremendous!

After work at about 11 something, i drove straight to McD at the Sg. Besi Petronas station to meet the guys. Fei lou came down to KL to witness his brother registration. It's been a while since the last time we hung out.... we were watching the opening ceremony while chit-chatting. Felt so tired though, after a long day work... Thank god it's friday!!

Saturday,
Woke up at about 7am by a call from aunt. I promised her to join her for swimming and I only slept at about 3am last night!! zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... promise is meant to be kept, so I dragged myself to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face, prepared my swim suit and ciao.

I managed to finished 5 laps eventhough i'm drop dead tired haha...

Then, I went back home and try to catch some sleep before meeting up with Kam Kam later in the evening...

Kam Kam just came back from JB for her wisdom tooth canaling. She's been having this toothache for weeks! So we had some light snacks at the HK cafe nearby her house and caught up with each other's life....

Bear bear is going to get married early next year!! and we are going to be her "sisters"! The first girl in our gang to get married, so happy for her ^.^

Watched the Mummy 3 at 1 Utama with the ex colleagues. The movie sucks!! The whole story is just ridiculous T___T (Alert: Anyone who has not watch it, please do not waste your money ok!)

Everywhere is hanging the sales tag in front of their shops! 50%, 70&, final reductions blah blah blah....

I bought 2 Zara cardigans (1 black and 1 white which i can wear it with almost anything), 1 black fitted top and a American eagle outfitter's long skirt (very bohemian style, can try some new style hoho..)

Then, went over to IT world to check out some voice recording gadget. I have been trying to find a voice recorder to record down my senior's KT (aka knowledge transfer) session so that I can playback to listen to it over and over again.... cause I have a memory like Dory =(

After checking some mp3 and mp4 players, I got myself a mp3 player which has a voice recording function. Of course the voice recording quality cannot compare to those voice recorders but it's cheap, somemore I'm not using it for interviews, so don't care la...

it's getting late now.... time to meet 周公 again hoho...

Adapting period is hard. Especially when you have no clue or whatsoever knowledge on the new job. According to an article i read from newspaper, a newcomer normally needs 1-3 months of adaption period. You have to get used to subtle teasing and scolding by your superior and the fear of not able to cope with the tasks you've been given can drive you insane!

I hope this period will come to an end.... God knows when....

Anyhow, I will try my bestest best to overcome all the obstacles. =)

Had a hearty and wholesome breakfast before heading to the exam war zone. At first, I wanted to have my breakfast at Pizza Uno, too bad they weren't ready to serve yet, so decided to opt for Black Canyon Cafe instead. I must admit Black Canyon Cafe had changed a lot not only on the menu selection but on their services as well (or maybe just because there were very few customers that morning?!) ^.^ The starves were actually very patient to recommend some breakfast menu and came to ask twice if the food served was alright.

The Black Canyon Cafe has a lot of creative fusion food to choose from Spaghetti Tom Yum to Fried Udon in Thai Style. Since it was still early and not so good to stuff myself with heavy meal before exam, I decided to order their breakfast set which consist of tea and egg mayo & tuna sandwich...

The tea comes with a small plate of mini alphanumeric biscuits which reminded me I used to had this cute lil biscuits with a mini cup of milo during my kindergarten. Those were the days....

One thing about the sandwich was that they should have chilled the sandwich before serving... Sandwich tastes better in chilled.

Tom Yum Fussili, I actually like their Tom Yum soup, not so spicy and the sourness is just fine.

Fettuccine in chicken ham sauce. The carbonara sauce is a bit too thick for my liking...

Head straight to Iverson for exam after having breakfast, the test was pretty easy and predictable though. Then decided to drop by Seremban to handle some stuff and went to Melaka for food!

I first stopped to try both Nyonya laksa and Baba laksa at the famous laksa eatery located at the Jonker street. The Nyonya laksa is similar to the Asam laksa we normally had but with an extra boiled egg. The Baba laksa on the other hand taste like curry laksa with Tuna replacing the chicken / seafood. The Baba chendol is refreshing after walking all the way to the Jonker street from the parking space under the hot sun. ^.^

Bought some very cute cartoon magnets along the way at Jonker street....

Proceeded to the new mall in Melaka - Dataran Pahlawan after I couldn't stand the sweaty hot weather anymore. The mall only has 2 floors but nonetheless has a wide selection of shops including the Padini Concept stores, Esprit, Mango, Quicksilver etc. I bought a pair of heels and a T-shirt while killing time in the mall.

A trip to Melaka ain't complete without eating the famous satay celup. I had tried some of the recommended satay celup eateries including Capitol (well known where lots of celebrities eaten here before but personally i think their satay celup is overrated), Ban Lee Xiang (has 2 joined shops and mostly full house during weekend, the satay celup taste just alright) and the newly opened Teochew satay celup. The Teochew satay celup is opened just next to Ban Lee Xiang but with a cleaner and nicer deco. Their satay celup selection is more or less the same as Ban Lee Xiang. For all the satay celup I had in Melaka, I like the road-side satay celup stall the most. Not only does its satay sauce has the riches peanuts flavour but it is also the cheapest satay celup I had so far selling 40cent each for ALL food sticks! However, this is a road-side stall, so for those who put hygienic as their top priority on food then they better opt for the shops.

Since I have an early appointment the next morning, I head back straight to KL after having satay celup. It's a satisfied trip even though I didn't manage to eat the road-side stall satay celup . I wonder if I can ever get tired of Melaka - the city of historic and full of nice food. I'll be back!

Take those sabotaging, dragging or whatever negative crap as challenges to make yourself stronger. Try to get positive friends to support you. In the end, you are going to succeed by overcoming all the obstacles that came along the way. By then, you will be proud of yourself!

Fiqa was eliminated! just because she didn't get enough votes. Can't believe MDG is turning into a lame popularity show.... if this sucking voting system is going to rule till the end for MDG, it will loses its credibility. They might as well just crown Cheesie right now. Totally agree with what Su Ann said about Cheesie's appearance in the show - blunt, boring and JUST EXISTING. Thanks to her huge bimbo fan base. =___="

Hanis is the sweet girl next door and got the innocent malay looking. She might be the only one threatening Cheesie though. Since now MDG has become just another voting-rules-all show, I'll be happy if anyone wins except for Cheesie.

Overspent

It's just the beginning of the month but I have already overspent my budget for the month.... =__=" why oh why... why i keep overspending for the last few months, indeed for over half a year!!

Sis asked me if wanna go for Janice concert this coming May, 300 bucks for front row seat since her friend's family is working in Galaxy which is the concert main organizer. 300 bucks!!! I sooooo wanna go to her concert but thinking about 300 bucks, there's so much I can do with it.... I'm getting soooo stingy I don't even know pffffff =__=" and then there's Beauty and the beast musical this coming June, any musical fan here interested???

Just finished watching the finale of Make me a supermodel. Holly won. Right choice America! My favourite Ben didn't win but I do think he got potential in the model industry. Just that I'm not sure his determination is as strong as Holly.

Determination in my opinion is the most important criteria. To achieve what you want, you need to have strong determination enough to motivate yourself towards getting it. Sometimes I find myself have the determination but lack of confidence, which is soooo important when it comes to public speaking. This is one huge hurdle I need to overcome with....

Watched Ah Long Pte Ltd the other day... the movie is hilarious!! It's been sometime since i last watched a show that's sooooo funny and I managed to learn a few funny terms: lim beh, chao ah kua etc hahahaha. The movie was mostly shot at Kuala Lumpur, go watch it and sure you will laugh from the beginning till the end. ^.^

The three kingdoms on the other hand is a much serious movie which the story revolves around 三国 which Andy Lau is the ultimate commander that never lose a battle before. Frankly speaking, I think Andy's acting in Warlords (投名状) is much better than in three kingdoms even though he acted from young to old. Another imperfection is that the production should have used Andy's own voice instead of getting some China ah pek to voice over him lorr.... =_="

Waking up early in the Sunday morning is so not me... alas I have problem having a good sleep recently, maybe it's due to my newly bought pillow which claimed to be able to enhance blood circulation that can improve sleeping quality?! Or maybe I just haven't got used to my new pillow?!

Anyhow, I grabbed my old pillow and sat in front of my computer to watch the latest episode of Make me a Supermodel. This reality show is hilarious! Every week the candidates will perform a series of photo shoots and catwalks, judges will select the bottom three among them to put up for voting. The one with least votes will be eliminated. Something similar to ANTM but the ultimate power of elimination comes from the viewers instead of the judges. There has been quite a lot of model talent show recently; even Malaysia has our own version of model reality show - Malaysian dreamgirl. I have been following the show since but to be frank it's not as funny as the American based reality show mainly because the contestants simply are not bitchy enough?! haha...

My fave dreamgirl to date is Fiqa. She has a very elegant and sophisticated style plus she has the height of a model.

Cheesie sounds phony to me... I have been a loyal reader of her blog and thought she might have what it takes when it comes to personality but after watching episode 6, you'll probably have the same thinking like me... a bit beh tahan when she cried like someone just passed away saying "why you guys didn't vote for her" when the 3 girls were voted out. Hello?! I know girl is emo when it comes stuff like this but I think she exaggerated it and probably want the show to project a sympathetic side of her?! Anyway, that is just my personal opinion.

Eyna has got the most potential to become a model. She got the height and looks but her shy personality doesn't stand out among the other girls, so we shall see…

Ok coming back to Sunday, after having breakfast with my family, I decided to do some baking! It's been a while since my last baking, so this time around I decided to make some cupcakes!

Baking 101:
1. Mix flour, sugar, egg and water together

2. Added in melted butter and mix it up.

3. Melted chocolate / peanut butter for own flavoring
4. Put mixture in paper cups and added in chocolate / peanut butter.
5. Put some almond flakes or raisin on the top for deco.

6. Bake for 30 minutes in pre-heated oven.

7. Voila!

Anyway.....

went over to Dessert Bar at Mont Kiara in the afternoon. The name of the shop says it all. It offers a variety of smoothies, home made ice-creams and mousse desserts.

Berry-licious. Custard mousse with berry jello at the bottom =D

Black sesame and soy milk ice-cream. I love it! Not too sweet to my liking...

Grape smoothies. I love it X100!! Not those fake artificial flavoring, made 100% from grapes =D

Enjoying a quiet Sunday reading a good book while having my favorite dessert. Priceless.

I got fever recently. French mani fever! =D Bought this Sally Hansen's French Manicure kit from Watson the other day. It's a bit pricey for nail polish cause I normally buy nail polish from Skin Food or The face shop for less than 20 bucks each. But it's worth it cause it really glides smoothly on my nails! =)

Getting my own place

Lately, I have been thinking about moving out. People always say I "manja" (spoilt) cause i just used to living with my parents where everything is provided. I've never stayed alone or stayed at dorm before. I can always count on my mom for home cooked dinner when i come back from school / work. My laundry is always done even though my mom does complain about it once in a while. Nonetheless, everything in my daily life is kinda organized and assured. I'm trying to picture myself living all by myself. I may need to do my own laundry which sounds tired for me =p, I may need to clean up the toilet every week and cook my own dinner when I come back from work. These all sound so exhausting!! Yet, in order to let myself to become more independent, I need to take the very first step - GET MY OWN PLACE. Otherwise, I will be died of laziness! -_-"

Hmm.... any room to let that comes with washing machine, broadband connection and home cooked food?! wahahahaha....

Survivor lesson

Just finished watching Survivor: China. It's been some time since i catch up with the show again. The last Survivor show i remembered was Survivor All Stars which Amber won the million bucks. I was actually quite surprised this show is still going strong in its ratings and is entering its 16th season in the coming February.

After watching the show. I would say Todd actually deserve to win the million bucks because he really outwit and outlast the game. Bare in mind this is a game, from the moment you participate in it, you know there will be alliances, backstabbing, lying, cheating whatever. The thing is how you got people to vote for you at last while you back stabbed and cheated him/her .

Plenty of lessons to be learned from Survivor.

1. In order to defeat your enemy, you must know his/her weaknesses. (Todd got his alliances to vote off Jean Rober once he knew that JR knew the hidden immunity secret. Todd certainly knows that Jean Rober's big mouth gonna screw his plan and stir people's mind around)

2. Know your own strength and weaknesses. (Todd knew he's not physically the strongest, being the dwarf among the guys, he immediately form alliance with Amanda from day one and pull in the weakest member Courtney to avoid attack from his group)

3. Stay rational and think before you act. (Todd sure knows how to sabotage Amanda's reputation by spilling out that she back stabbed Denise in front of the jury, even though it's unintentional. He persuaded Amanda to vote for Denise by telling her Denise might get the sympathy votes from the jury, good analysis Todd)

The coming season is Survivor: Micronesia Fans vs Favorites . Can't wait!!

here's another bus crash accident on the highway. The bus driver has 13 outstanding summonses issued against him!! Why on earth would the bus company let this demon drive and risk the 39 innocent passengers' lives?!!

One of the three victims who died in this horrible accident is a bright young medical student Nian Ning. It's just so sad to see this kinda tragedy happen endlessly yet the authority act like they have nothing to do with it.

Some of the survivors witnessed the driver was speeding and SMSing while driving in heavy rain!! o_O Are you kidding me?!!

Friends of Nian Ning is setting up a petition against the bus company, please raise your force to end this heartbreaking tragedy for once and for all.

these photos were taken soooooo many months ago. Had my lunch here with few of my colleagues at SS2, Petaling Jaya. We were scouting for some nice place to have some nice food. But ended up with bad food with expensive bill!! (freaking not worth it) =(

As it was a public holiday, uncle sim drove us out to have lunch. We ended up having our lunch at GreenValley Cafe at SS2. This cafe was taken over and revonated from the previous "Butt Kin Butt Sun" 不见不散 HK restaurant which is just opposite the famous Wong Kok Char Chan Teng.

Noticed the crowd at Wong Kok, we decided to try our luck at this newly opened cafe...

The restaurant owner renovated the restaurant into a modern asian interior...

We ended up being late from lunch because of this!! They took a freaking 45 minutes to prepare a nasi lemak?! And we don't find anything special with it o_O

Overpriced mee siam that the taste is not good at all and I can probably buy 5 plates full of mee siam at the hawker stall opposite my office!!

still consider edible.... at least

all of us didn't really enjoy the food and hopefully there will be some improvement the next time i visit them (will i ever?)...

Had a crazy night out with my colleagues. It was our team dinner at the Italianies, The Curve. I didn't really expect much from the food as a result from my last visit. However, our crowd had a great hangout moment there!

Kevin was drinking non-stop, bottoms up countlessly =_=" but still managed to drive himself back (though i strongly disagree on drink-driving). We ordered enormous amount of food and desserts, the dessert taste yummy though we were so full haha...

Taiwan cuisine @The Gardens

met up with Kit Ying, Mui Siew and Jo the other day and had a long brunch at The Gardens Mid Valley. We decided to try out the Taiwan restaurant that opened recently.

It's something new for me, Taiwan food is still rare compare to other mainstream food like western, fastfood, japs etc

Some of the appetizers are quite exotic and not all of us might eat it such as the fried intestine and organs =_="

Ordered two pots of flower tea, i like the fragrant and it actually taste drinkable for once, the secret is you have to mix the flower with tea leaves like oolong.

salthy fried chicken set 盐酥鸡, crunchy with lots of MSG hehe...

3 cups chicken set 三杯鸡, taste like Gung Bou style 宫保 with mixture of white rice wine flavour yummy!

Eugene dined at the same restaurant at HK branch and highly recommend their dessert... how can a girl who has a sweet tooth resist dessert, so here i am at their latest branch at The Gardens Mid Valley...

Stuffed chicken with mushroom... taste mediocre only and the portion is too small for my big stomach...hehe

I ordered the chef recommendation - Seafood spaghetti... taste alright but found that the clams were not fresh hence the fishy flavour... -_-

I like their tiramisu, not too sweet but still love Alexis's the most... They are opening soon at The Gardens as well, great news for me hehe...

Just had buffet at Jogoya cause they are having 50% off promotion for ladies, I seriously need to go on diet now, HELP!! =_="

finally we are climbing the mountain... hehe...

We woke up early at 3am =_=" then prepared ourselves to mount kk journey. Only found out that our driver ffk us... major bomb =_="

we wasted no time and called another driver, luckily he's kind enough to come pick us up provided that we pay extra amount ( another =_=")

anyway, here we were safe and sound on our way to mount kk....

yay... finally we reached kk park... looking excited, can't wait to get up there hehe...

we chose to go up by Mesilau trail and back on Timpohan trail... Mesilau trail is actually longer than Timpohan by 2km,
trust me, don't under estimate this 2km....

started to rain at 4km... we were wearing T-shirts and sport pants cause Sze Mun told us the weather is warmer than Genting Highland, and obviously we under estimated the weather!! It was freaking cold ok...

harder to climb each step...

I had to steal Siang's jacket and beanie cause mine was in the bag with porter....

I still managed to smile for photo even though i was dead tired and freezing cold... not bad yay!!

the journey got harder by inch approaching to Laban Rata, where we gonna stay for a night before climbing up to the peak.

I nearly couldn't feel my legs for the last 2km climb, I couldn't even feel the tiredness anymore cause all i felt was COLDNESS!!! freezing cold i tell ya and i'm not kidding, with the strong wind thrashing on us, my fingers and toes were numb. The wind was so strong I felt like twister was coming.... the hardest 2km journey I've ever been-___-

had to stop to refill our energy by munching our chocs....
no more camwhoring poses, we were NUMB to even smile ok...

RM10 fried rice... don't ask me whether it tasted nice or not cause basically you'll munch in whatever they sell after the horribly exhausting climb...

We reached Laban Rata at almost 7pm. It was freaking 9 hrs climb!! imagine walking 9 hrs already sound exhausted, what about climbing for 9hrs with TERRIBLE weather?!!

I finally knew what willpower means... physical got us through the first 5kms, Eddy said it was mental who got us through the last 2kms... I didn't know how i walk the last 500m, my mind was totally blank that time, thought I'll be gone in any second...

I was still trembling terribly after reaching the Laban Rata guest house, my hands were shaking without my control as if they weren't mine. I scared the freak out of my gang and our guide cause i was shaking hysterically the whole night at the restaurant. The guide was so afraid I would down to hypothermia.

The guest house closed at 10pm and didn't allow us to stay, so we had to drag ourselves to our little hut where we gonna stay for a night.

Eddy said he couldn't sleep but we heard him snored in less than 5 minutes time =_= Siang gonna blow dry his jacket and knit gloves with Sze's hairdryer, where I used it to warm my feet and hands haha...

I couldn't sleep for the whole night and my feet were numb even after wearing socks, it was my worst sleep to date!! my piece of advise, DO NOT stay at the waras hut if you happened to go to mount kk!! You will have your worst nightmare there, scaring the hut will be blown away by the twister like strong wind and I'm not kidding!

Last Saturday, Eddy (he prefer to be named eddy here instead of fei lou hehe) came over to meet us all the way from Penang. We planned to go cycling at Taman Pertanian in the morning, fortunately or unfortunately Chee Thing and I got selected for the Samsung Mobile Bloggers TT (Teh Tarik) Session which happened to start at 11am, so we decided cancel off cycling and meet up for lunch instead.

I arrived 15 minutes early at Fasta Pasta, saw some of the bloggers already waiting there...

when we were queuing for registration to get the phone, some passer-by thought Samsung is giving out freebies, then got two aunties actually queued at the back! -_-

I got my Samsung SGH-L760 after registration. Yay! got a new toy hehe...

Techarp, the organizer later briefed us on the terms and functions on the phone. Apparently the phone is not officially launched here yet and we were told that we are the first 25 people who get to use this phone yo...

L760 is a 3G phone which comes with 2.0 Megapixel camera, 0.3 Megapixel front camera and a brand new feature - Mobile blog!

It allows you to update your blog and upload photos and videos via Shozu. That's the reason why Samsung organized this blogger TT session to let bloggers experience on this new feature.

My second dining attempt at Fasta Pasta... i remembered the first time i came here with Eddy, Sze Mun they all back when the time we were still studying... Eddy ordered Spaghetti Oglio and said he rather had fried noodles at authentic Chinese stall haha...

Minestrone soup... i still think my mom's ABC soup is the best! no offense hehe...

Mushroom soup... Chee Thing said cannot make it woh...

Bread provided as usual in Italian restaurant...

I ordered the seafood spaghetti which comes with clams, prawns, fish and calamari. Taste so so only... honestly i wouldn't order it again shall i dine here, the fish totally cannot make it and got that fishy stinky smell -.-

Chee Thing ordered beef bacon pizza. To be frank, I would choose Domino's thin crust pizza over this...

Meet up with Sze Mun, Kit, Eddy and Siang after TT session ended...
have another round of lunch with them at Kim Gary...

dessert comes the combo set - coconut milk jelly with red beans... don't really like its artificial coconut flavor though... after all it's a complimentary dessert

大家一起工作的,都预了间中会有摩擦, 不满意的时候. 但是就是受不了说话有刺,单单打打的人. 身为领导的, 做事不是要有责任感, 就算自己有不明白的地方也要协作团员了解状况, 一起寻找解决方案吗? 还要当其他团员提供解决的建议后, 后加一句 "你终于像个人" ..... =_="

可能我个人不大有幽默感吧, 但终觉得有刺的感觉, 试问下次人家还想要提出建议吗?

你们觉得呢? 是不是我没幽默感,太敏感了?

Just came back from Kota Kinabalu recently... the flight ticket was bought 9 months prior to the trip when AirAsia was offering RM0.00 airfare hoho...

fei lou came to stay overnight at Siang's place before we heading to Sentral station to catch the airport transit bus early in the morning, as usual they came fabulously late AGAIN!

Nonetheless, we all catched up the flight at the last call gate haha... here we are on our flight to KK...

finally arrived at our destination after 3 hours of strangling in the budget airplane...

we were starving, so quickly filled our stomach at a nearby kopitiam after checking-in to our hotel room... I ordered the famous Tuaran noodle that comes with dumplings yummy!! or maybe we were too hungry ?! haha...

as promised, fei lou your 大头相 (big head photo) hehe...

went to buy some souvenirs at the nearby Philipino market after lunch, only knew that locals never go there haha...
had refreshing coconut drink for only RM2.20 per coconut on the way back to our hotel ^.^

Popped in to Warisan Square mall which is just next to our hotel for its air-condition... nothing much to do so we just camwhore a bit hehe...

Dinner time!! what to have for dinner other than Sabah famous fresh seafood hoho...
went to 海王城 for seafood dinner as recommended by Sze Mun's friend.

LOBSTER!! too bad it was temporary out of our budget for this dinner, so we ordered crab instead >.<

My review:

Bought this at Shu Uemura warehouse sales. The toner does not give me a toning feeling at all and I don't like it's fragrant. I was using this at night after shower, it's not as good as my day use Amway toner. Branded is not always the good one afterall...

I was reading cari forum reviewing some skincare products that we've used before... so was thinking about compiling review on the products i've used before. ^.^

Products: Biore facial foam

I was using this facial foam during my teenager period. I guess this cleanser didn't really suitable for me cause there were breakouts everywhere on my face especially my forehead. >.<

Also, it leaves my skin very dry after cleansing. I didn't really know about skincare during that time so was using this untill reaching high school.

Can't get back the old packaging photo, but it should be the same thing i was using. It was a blue white tube as well but the design is different now.

Penang makan trip

Penang! Here i come again... this is my 3rd visit to Penang within a year. What to do in Penang? EAT lerr.... i've promised fei lou an endless sing k session when i do come to Penang, so once i've confirm on my visit. He sent me a song list and told me to learn all the songs within a week time =_="

Trip to Penang was rather pleasant this time around as a friend is driving her MPV, i was sleeping most of the time...^.^

We stopped at Ipoh for breakfast...this is the famous Ipoh "Zong Yun" (状元面) mee, it's actually just a normal pork mee but I like the minced pork in it =)

Ipoh folks reckon this kopitiam has the best steamed egg (炖蛋)

I was drooling hence my shaky hand and blurry pic hehe...

long awaited sing k session with fei lou hoho...

We found this Ajisen Ramen was favoured by many forummers, so decided to give it try...Apparently the Penang outlet is the only one in Malaysia, wonder why they don't open one i KL...

Takoyaki!! One of my fave snacks, but i still think the Takoyaki stall near my house tastes better, perfect with wasabi sauce!! ^.^

fei lou ordered pork ribs ramen. The ribs are sinfully fattening but who can resist its juiciness!!

Coffee cheese with liquor... didn't really taste the liquor though...

Went to watch Ratatouille after dinner, it's just as funny as i expected!! Remy is soooooo cute ok!

I was very x10 tired and sleepy after the non-stop sing k session and super full dinner, but fei lou and i still managed to laugh till the end, imagine how amusing this animation is! ^^

Had duck drumstick noodles 鸭腿面 at the famous Bidor Bun Zhan restaurant 品珍 on our way back to KL... i especially like the mouth-watering duck soup that comes with the noodles.

What a pleasant trip....

Budget roadtrip (2) - Fraser's Hill

Finally got the photos from Sze. We went Fraser's Hill for a short break. The last time i went Fraser's Hill was when i was a 4 year old kiddo, so i was actually quite looking forward going here again. ^.^

We were supposed to depart at 8am but Siang was LATE. He friggin overslept and didn't answer our calls! So, we have no choice but drive ourselves to his doorstep to pick him up. Siang you owe us one k hehe...

Had our breakkie near my house... My eyes bags were friggin big, so hate waking up early in the morning especially weekend. Yet Fraser's Hill is worth waking me up early n_n

On our way up to Fraser's Hill there's this HUGE dam. Breathtakingly beautiful!

女司機情急呼救，全車乘客噤若寒蟬。

只有一中年瘦弱男子應聲奮起，卻被打傷在地。這位男子氣極，奮起大呼全車人制止暴行，卻無人響應，任憑女司機被拖至山林草叢。

半個時辰後，三歹徒與衣衫不整的女司機歸來回到車上。車又將行 ~~~ 女司機要被打傷流血的瘦弱男子下車。男子不肯，僵持起來。

" 喂，你下車吧，我的車不拉你！ "

中年男子急了，說：「你這人怎麼不講道理，我還救你呢，難道我還錯嗎？」「你救我？你救我什麼了？」女司機矢口否認，引得幾個乘客竊笑。

中年男子氣極，恨自已身無大俠之力！救人未救成，可也不該得此 ~~~ 被驅逐下車的結果呀，他堅決不下。「再說我買票了，我有權坐車！」

女司機揚起臉無情地說：「不下車，我就不開。」

沒想到的是，滿車剛才還對暴行熟視無睹的乘客們，卻如剛剛睡醒般，齊心協力地勸那男子下車：「你快下去吧，我們還有事呢，耽擱不起！」

有幾位力大的乘客 ~ 甚至想上前拖這中年男子下車，使人想起莫泊桑筆下【羊脂球】的情節。

三個歹徒咧著嘴笑，得意地笑了。其中有個黑皮無賴毫不知恥地說：「哥們把她玩恣了！」另外兩個歹徒也胡言亂語：「她是我對象，關你屁事！」

女司機並不說話，車速越來越快。歹徒企圖撲上去搶方向盤，汽車卻像離弦的箭向懸崖衝去。

第二天，當地報紙報導：伏虎山區 ~ 昨日發生慘禍，一中型巴士摔下山崖。車上司機和十三名乘客無一生還。

半路被趕下車的中年人看到報紙哭了，誰也不知道他哭什麼，為什麼哭？

現在你知道他為什麼哭了嗎？若你身在當時的情境，你會不會 ~ 也像那個中年人一樣挺身而出呢？

Just back from Fraser's Hill. It's a nice decent place for relaxation even though the weather is not cooling as expected. Photos are held up by Kit, so more about the trip later after i got the photos...

I was reading The Star web news and came across this report about the shortening business hours of petrol stations http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/8/6/nation/18510647&sec=nation. The Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia has announced that they would shorten their business hours to 7am-10pm due to increasing crime rate among petrol stations on late nights.

The response we got from our government is this : Petrol dealers who cite high costs as the reason to shorten operating hours of their kiosks can give up their dealerships as many others are interested in take up the business, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal.

After all, "Kalau tak suka, keluar dari M'sia!!"

Invisible Black Canyon affair

Had movie + dinner date with Sze and shorty Kit. We were going to watch Invisible Target starring Sze's hubby Nicholas Tse, Shawn Yue, Jaychee Chan and Wu Jing. The stunts are quite impressing but their acting is still a bit too stiff. It's acceptable given that they are still new to the industry. However, there are quite a number of audiences were actually touched by Jaychee's acting as i heard people sobbing... o_O

We had our dinner at Black Canyon Coffee @Summit USJ before catching the movie. This was my second attempt here, I wasn't really impress on my first attempt, hopefully this time they will change my perception.

Both Sze and shorty Kit ordered Black Pepper Steak and I ordered Spaghetti Ham Sauce. The spaghetti is a bit too soft, possibly "overcooked". Food taste so so only but the ambience is cozy.

I was reading xiaxue's blog on the 7 most disgusting bloggers. The first blogger being Steven Lim - self claimed most handsome guy in the universe. =_=" He seriously doesn't know what is handsome and what is hot. He is nowhere close to good-looking, left alone handsome and hot. Maybe beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder for those who really think he's handsome.... ( i doubt that =p)

Do anyone seriously think he is as he claimed Most handsome?!! This king of ah beng even post a video clip on his bedroom billy jean dance move wearing a cartoon boxer on youtube!! =_=" He is gonna be the most gross, disgusting, sickening etc. blogger i've seen.

This is what i call it cute, handsome, good-looking guy. Maybe Daniel Wu might not be everyone's babe, but if compare (personally, i won't compare daniel with this sickening steven) with that gross dude, who'll pick ?

blood(y) donation

Yesterday, I went for the blood donation campaign organized by Hospital UM and Lion Club. Counters and resting arm chairs are set up for the blood donation campaign. Never knew so many of my company staves are actually enthusiastic on this charity event though. There was even a line for the registration =_="

I was asking lim beh Sim and Ronnie if they wanna join me for blood donation. Both of them bloody chicken out!! One tell me all sorts of ridiculous crap reasons another telling me he's hungry, afraid might faint later.... freaking no balls!!

And so, I went for blood donation all by myself... shaking, trembling...registered myself at the counter. The doctor got my registration form and asked me to stand on the weighing machine; I can't believe I just gained another 2 freaking kgs AGAIN!! So gonna kill myself... =_="

The assistant then test my blood to see which type of blood am I, the next thing I know I was brought to the resting arm chair ( looks more like an electric chair), tight my arm, insert (stab!!) the needle on my arm and start squeezing my blood out of me.... =_="

The nurse asked me if this was my first time to donate blood as I looked horrified by the whole thing. I keep biting my finger to wish this would be over by the next second! But it won’t!! Because I was so freaking tense, my blood wouldn't come out... the nurse then pressed on my vein to my make sure my blood squeezed out!

After the traumatized nightmare ended, I was given a gift bag consisting some energy drink, fruit, voucher etc. I wonder if I will do this again.... o_O

Have been a little stressed up lately... exam submission being rejected, stupid cc transaction, career pondering, stupid fight etc etc etc... wanna scream the stress out of me or is it that my shopping addict is coming back again?!

Anyhow, i got asked this question “What do you exactly want to achieve in 5 years time?" I honestly do not have a clear mind on what i want in the near future yet >_< Maybe i need to set back and start thinking what i truly want in my life...

i want to be able to travel around the world...
i want to be able to experience life in different parts of the world
i want financial freedom ( to be able to achieve the first two.. =p)

Then i start noticing my goals are not career oriented at all...

It was a lazy Sunday again... was thinking where to eat and ended up having brunch at TGI Fridays at Section 14, PJ. It's kinda old and one of the first generation Fridays here...

They were having this promotion called "Taste of New York" featuring appetizers, main courses and desserts that named after famous NY landmark. The waiter highly recommended this promo as it was only for a limited period. I was having a hard time choosing my meal so decided to give the NY thingy a try...

i love vacation

I love holiday!! Been a little tied up lately so pampered myself with a vacation... ( actually planned this for a long time d hoho...)

This time around to Lake Toba and Medan is free and easy. I just booked the air tickets via Airasia and the hotel at Medan via GoHoliday. As for the Lake Toba hotel, i followed the advice by a cari forum member which turn out to be very nice and serene.

If anyone is going to Lake Toba, better be prepare for the bumpy journey!! We took a van there via Tobali tours agent which cost us less than RM30/person. DO NOT take this if you are looking for a pleasant and relaxing journey there. The van took 5 hours to reach Parapat (jetty) =_=" and the van is in a bad condition where it has no air con, broken absorber and we were sitting at the back seat!! The road itself i tell ya... is worse than small roads in kampung!

When i finally get myself checked-in to the hotel in Samosir Island, it was almost 4pm. Our hotel room is a suite room with a small living room and front porch, facing directly to the lake... it's soooo beautiful! At least there's something to compensate my lousy journey from medan after all...

We stayed at Samosir island which located within lake Toba itself and the size of the island is as big as Singapore according to lonely planet. Really nothing much to do here but to relax myself. Visited the Batak village which they used to practise cannibalism! wherever i meet batak people there, the first thing they tell me is that they don't eat human anymore... =_="

On the way back to Medan, we rented a mpv. Had enough of the stupid van!!

Medan in contrast is a noisy city, filled with cars, becas, dust.... and car honking everywhere!! They honk when the car in front is slow, when they overtaking, when simply for NO reason at all =_=" If you think traffic here is bad, you haven't been to Medan yet. I shall call it the most notorious traffic i've ever seen.

Honestly, I don't really like Sunday. Even though it's a non-working day and suppose to be a leisure day, but once it hit the evening I can't stop thinking about Monday again... Maybe I shouldn't let myself so stress up about it, after all it's Sunday!! A chill out day!! hoho

neway... I went to have dinner at Vietnamese Kitchen @leisure mall back at April. It was a Sunday night and I had a sudden crave for Vietnamese food, so went to the nearest Vietnam restaurant.

I've been here for a few times. Like their spring roll very much =D Unlike the popiah or spring roll we normally have, the Vietnamese have fruit spring roll!!

Uncle Tony just came back from Sabah last week, so it's family gathering time!! We first went to Uncle Eric's house to chit-chat a while before going for dinner. Weng Lek my uncle Tony's youngest son has grown so much! I remembered he was still this lil kiddo when i last saw him... now already a big kid, wonder if he has taken protein builder or something... =D

We went to this restaurant at Selayang which located next to a seafood wholesale shop. LOTS of seafood to choose from... lobster, crabs, clam, fish u name it... even got snow crab and Alaska king crab!! =_=" I soooo wanna try the snow crab and alaska king crab but it's almost 200 bucks per kg!! We bought the seafood from this wholesaler and took it to the restaurant to let them cook for us. Last time we did the same with 谭师傅restaurant but we this time we decided to choose 北海restaurant which is just on left of the seafood wholesale shop.

uncles and unties all think 北海 is not cooking as well as 谭师傅. The last time i went to 谭师傅 was last year CNY. So i can't really compare the both. However, i really like the grilled cheese lobster, soooo yummy!! Cannot compare to what i had in Phuket, cause this one is from Australia which is so much bigger and expensive hehe...

It's farewell again. This time is nelson's. Can't help but feeling a lil blue for someone's leaving again even though we can still meet up occasionally. We always say keep in touch when someone is leaving, but we all know that keeping in touch is difficult at times. Everyone lead his/her separates lives, working his a** off for their career, busy pak torring etc. Anyhow I'll try my best to catch up with you guys ya! ^^

We decided to held a farewell dinner for nelson at naili's. I went to their HQ at Sentul before and i like their deco especially the tree house dining area. I used to go there with my unimates and we called it "climb tree" if we were going to Sentul naili's for yum cha session. Miss it so much!!

This naili's is their branch located at Damansara Uptown. The cafe is just above the Alliance Bank and they separate the cafe into air-cond and open-air two partition. It was a hot day so we opted for the air cond area which is very cozy and nicely decorated with tropical plants as well!

Went to Black Canyon Coffee cafe on a sunny Sunday back on 22th April...
It's a cafe offers fusion thai and western food. The environment is cozy and offer a wide range of coffee. Even got a separate menu for beverage and dessert!! =p

A separate division perfect for holding a party...

I ordered Iced lemon tea cause i can't stand caffein...

Orange juice. No good. Buy a sunquick from supermarket and mix it at home if you wanna try this, it might taste even better.

Spicy Fried Fettuccini with Seafood and Hot Basil. Not bad if you are looking for some special pasta. Only one thing i don't like about the pasta is that the fish is not fresh enough.

Fettuccini with Chicken Green Curry. Personally i still prefer red curry...

I wanted to order their cakes but was tempted to order this instead...

Mocha Chip Premium Ice Cream. RM7.90

Honestly I think Wall's selection ice cream taste better than this and only cost you about RM9.90 for a TUB.

How to go on a road trip for less than RM60

Sze Mun and I were discussing on where to go on Labour day since it was a holiday... We are all broke at that time so we decided to go for a budget road trip. I suggested going to Ipoh or Sungkai hotspring, but the toll will be costly. Hence, we decided to go to Port Dickson for a shortbreak.

We agreed that the road trip should stay within RM50 budget inclusive of toll, gas, food everything. Nevertheless, we exceeded our budget by a few bucks hehe.... anyhow, RM60 for a road trip is consider an economic trip already. n_n

We gathered at my home around 7.30am, never expected Siang to reach my house the earliest!! We then went for dim sum breakfast near my house and off we go...

We reached PD around 9am and head straight to the Ostrich farm. SM found a few "tourist spots" from the internet cause we have no idea what we can do here except for the beach...

Ostrich park entrance fee: RM8. The farm is not well maintained. Smelly shit + "balding" ostriches.

There are other animals kept in the farm such as goat, turkey, peacock, crocodile, duck etc.

After visiting the lighthouse, we have absolutely nothing to do at PD. So, i suggested either head south to Melaka or north to Seremban for grilled crab meal. Since it was still early in the afternoon and not a suitable time for crab meal, we decided to head south.

By the time we reached Melaka, it was 1.00pm. We headed straight to Nancy's kitchen for lunch since our stomaches already fighting to get our attention.

Melaka must try dessert: Cendol! Your Melaka trip ain't complete without trying the local cendol. The santan is so fragrant and i just love their gula melaka... n_n

Another worth trying snack is the Nyonya popiah. The size of the popiah is bigger than those we normally have in KL. So, we just ordered one each for the popiah. Have you eaten a popiah with prawn, 猪油渣 and sambal in it?

After having lunch at Nancy's kitchen, we have nothing to do untill another round of meal. While we were circling around Melaka town, we saw this new shopping mall located just opposite The Mahkota Parade. Apparently it's Melaka own megamall - Dataran Pahlawan. It was a freaking hot afternoon, so we have no choice but to stay in an air-con mall.

Many major flagship outlets are available here such as MNG, Esprit, PADINI etc. It's a fairly new mall but it's already pack with people. Seems like Melaka people are all going to the mall or maybe pack with people like us all over from KL?!

We were lepaking around the mall to kill our time. But it was damn boh liao so we decided to eat again! =_="

We saw this self-claimed Melaka first Hong Kong style Cafe and decided to give it a try.

The cafe's owner must be a dedicated HK TVB series fan cause she put a wallpaper size photo she took with TVB hunkies, Lam Fung, Cheng Ka Weng etc in front of her cafe.

The food there taste so so only + poor service , we waited soooo long for our food and drinks. Chee Thing said its pork burger size is smaller than Kim Gary and Siang's french toast is toooo oily. I ordered the fried milky bun, taste ok but it can taste better if its custard texture is smoother.

Used to see giant lizards here along Sungai Melaka... now GONE after they "beautify" as waterfront sidewalk.

We then walked to Jonker street which is just nearby Sungai Melaka... unfortunately, Jonker streeet night market only operates on weekend, so we went to eat another round of cendol. n_n

Assam laksa sold out, so Sze Mun ordered the Nyonya laksa. Taste like sambal curry, not bad though...

Finally, satay celup time!! Kit brought us to this satay celup stall by the roadside. It was the cheapest satay celup I had so far... only cost 40 cent per stick!! 5 of us had 117 sticks for only RM53.70. I had 20 sticks by myself already =_=" I'm soooo going to watch out my diet from now on....

Team dinner@Souled Out

Some time ago, my team was having dinner at Souled Out Sri Hartamas... It's a very happening place especially its ground floor. Waiters and waitresses there are extremely enthusiastic. I remembered going there for X'mas, they wore X'mas constume and would sing X'mas songs to cheer the crowd.

My bosses opened a few bottles of liquors for all of us even we have ordered our own cocktails. My cocktail some magarita, i forgot its name was absolutely horrible. Taste like vegetable juice and it cost like 20 over bucks!! Anyhow, I ordered the cod fish for main course cost RM40++ if not mistaken, the fish is not even fresh ok!

We decided to order dessert since the main course didn't satisfy us and it was my company's treat.

I ordered Haagen Dazs ice cream. Rum and raisin flavour. I like a lil bit liquor blend with ice cream, not so sweet yet sooooo yummilicious!

Nicholas ordered chocolate ice cream. If you love choc you will have to try this! The chocolate flavour is soooo rich!!

We ordered cakes as well. How often can you order whatever you like in a restaurant? Unless it's a company sponsored one. Hehe...

Strawberry cheesecake. Thick cheese flavour but i still like Pizza Uno's strawberry cheesecake the best.

Oreo cheesecake. Cheese flavour is the same as the strawberry one except it's topping is different only. For Oreo cheesecake i would recommend De Pastry, taste the best with its smooth texture.

Face to face Pan Mee @Damansara Perdana

I was craving for Pan Mee last weekend, so I went to this Pan Mee specialty shop called "Face to face" (面对面). The shop is located the same row as the Hainan chicken rice.

The shop only offers a limited choices of noodles, but there are a few selections for Pan Mee itself. There are Special spicy Pan Mee (dry/soup) which is the specialty of the shop, Chef's special Pan Mee, Sarawak Mee aka Kolo Mee and several appetizers including fish cakes, wanton and dumpling.

I was infected soar throat so i ordered the non-spicy Chef's special Pan Mee. Taste like the normal Pan Mee selling at those authentic Chinese stalls but I like the fried fish cakes served on top of the Pan Mee. Yummier than ikan bilis n_n

The Special spicy Pan Mee. There is a bottle of chili for you to mix the chili with the Pan Mee. The Pan Mee comes with vege, parsley, minced pork and an 3/4 boiled egg. Add the quantity of chili you desire and mix the Pan Mee like rojak. Voila! Special spicy Pan Mee suited your own level of spiciness n_n

The price is slightly expensive than the Pan Mee selling at those Chinese stalls but if you want to eat Pan Mee in a sweat-free environment, then head out to "Face to Face" hehe...

警察不是应该保护市民的吗?! 无论在什么情况之下警察的枪是用作保护市民的工具,而不是用来威胁市民或是显威风的东西. 看到这起新闻之后不禁在想往后我们不止要提防匪徒的侵犯还要提防警察叔叔的威胁...真是世风日下, 身为无辜市民的我们该何去何从啊..........

Outback steakhouse @Bangsar Village

Went to Outback steakhouse for dinner Tuesday. Actually we first went to Bangsar Seafood Village restaurant for the RM38++ seafood buffet promotion but it was FULL. In fact, i has been trying to call for reservation since last week, but NEVER make it to book as the line is either busy or no one is answering the phone. =_="

The waitress told us the restaurant is full and advised us to call in for reservation. I told her i couldn't call in cause the line is busy and no one seems to pick up the phone... She then said "sorry, our line is TOO busy."
I doubt if they will ever pick up the phone even the line is not busy, maybe they just got pissed of the phone ringing endlessly and hung the phone instead.

Anyway, after being turned down by Bangsar seafood village, we decided to try Outback steakhouse at Bangsar Village as Chee Thing said HSBC cardholder is entitled for 20% discount.

I ordered BBQ Chicken that comes with mashed potato, corn and coleslaw. The chicken is similar like the ayam percik and i like the mashed potato the best!

Sze mun ordered grilled fish...

Wei Kit eating the 8 ounces ribeye. He said steak at Black Canyon Coffee is better and cheaper wohh...

Chee Thing ordered burger. I stole the fries from him =p

Sizzling sirloin steak came at last... we ordered medium but came out med-well done!! =(

Outback gave us complimentary dessert!! =D Their mistake for over cooked the steak is forgiven. hehe...

One bite of hot brownie blend with ice-cream put you in the heaven =D Though i still like Chili's brownie better...

Inconsiderate

I was going back as usual after work. Then i saw a Gen2 blocking my car. It's actually a normal scenario over here at PJ as parking space is very limited so it's not unusual people double parking... Anyway, the driver did left contacts in the front mirror, so i called up the driver who turns out to be a lady to remove her car.

After calling the driver to remove her car, i startup my car, removed my car's sunshade while waiting for the driver to come...

i wait...

wait...

wait....

and waited for 10 minutes. Being a lil impatient, i called up the driver again. Phone engaged. I called up second and third time...phone engaged!

So i thought probably she's on the phone or something.
Finally she picked up my call...

Me: hello... (i barely finished my hello yet...)
Driver: I'm in the lift now!! (kns...like i owe her money like that!!)

It's understandable she double parked given the limited parking space here but it's NOT understandable she talked to people like that!!

After the rude phone call ended. I was still kept waiting...waiting and waiting...

10 minutes later, the aunty finally pops up walking towards her Gen2 while talking on her mobile phone. =_="

It was already 25 minutes later when i finally on my way back... thus, caught in the traffic JAM!!

Hainan chicken rice @Damansara Perdana

I was planning to go shopping at Cat Whiskers last Sunday and found this chicken rice shop at the same row of Public Mutual. Damn lot of people!! So i thought must be quite famous or delicious...

It's an authentic chicken rice shop. Serving Hainan chicken rice and Ipoh Sar Hor Funn. We reached there around 11 something and the shop is already packed with people. I guess people nowadays are getting used to having brunch on weekends huh?...

I ordered Ipoh Sar Horr Funn. The horr funn is quite "smooth" but the soup is ok only. Not to say not good at all but i thought should be better than that given the crowd there.

The Hainan chicken is also so so only. Personally i think the chicken rice stall near my home is better. Anyway, everyone has a different tastebud.

We ordered the Sang Har Wanton (Prawn wanton) as well. If i must choose the best among the three... i would chose this. The prawn is fresh and it's the main criteria for a delicious wanton. They manage to pull this off so they should probably call themselved prawn wanton shop instead of Hainan chicken rice shop. hehe...

My second attempt here, their pasta is recommended. But i decided to try some of their tapas this time...

I moved the dessert to be my starter n_n
Tiramisu weee... i still think their strawberry cheese cake rocks!

Calamares Fritos RM6 ...
normal fried calamari with tartar sauce... portion too small for me

Gambas Con Ajo RM10...
Grilled prawn with garlic and olive oil. Yummy! I even dipped the calamari with the garlic and olive sauce instead of the tartar sauce hehe...it's a bit pricey given with the small portion though

Last but not least... Alla Vongole
Fresh clams with fresh homemade fetuccine cooked with wine sauce. Yummy x5 !!
There are two pastas to choose from... normal spaghetti or fresh homemade fettuccine, you will never regret if you choose the second one even though it'll cost you RM2 more.

Bonus is Pizza Uno plays really nice Jazzy songs! ^_^

Went to Langkawi during this Chinese new year. The AirAsia tickets were bought way back last year during promotion period. I don't even remember how much is the air ticket.
This is my third visit to Langkawi. The first time was with my family when i was only 13 years old if not mistaken. The 2nd time was my high school graduation trip.

We rented a Sentra sedan for our 4 days 3 nights stay here. It was a lil too pack for 6 of us but we decided to go for it as renting a SUV would cost us double the price. Holiday Villa hotel is awesome and comes with a daybed so each of us can sleep comfortably. Too bad i forgot to take a photo of the room. We had our first dinner at Fat Mum Restaurant located just along the road opposite our hotel. This particular restaurant was recommended by forumers at cari.com.my... the food was ok but not cheap though. 6 of us ordered a siakap fish, sotong, tofu, vege and egg for RM100++ KL price =_="

Langkawi is famous for being an duty free island. Hence, it's a heaven to enjoy liquour ciggy and chocolate shopping!! n_n I went crazy for chocolate shopping. Some of the chocs you can hardly get it over at KL.

A new MUST visit spot in Langkawi is Skybridge @ Oriental Village. We took cable car to the hill top and the view is just amazing.

We went for brunch at this Korean restaurant - Han Kok Gun. Best korean food i had so far and it's actually not expensive. I like their appetizers including their kim chi *Yummy*

We went for island hopping on our 3rd day. The package inclusive of visiting to Pulau Beras besar, Lake of the pregnant maiden and eagle feeding. I've been to Pulau Beras besar and the lake on my 2nd visit here with my classmates but have never seen the eagle feeding before. So i was actually quite excited on this particular activity. The boat driver threw chicken meats into the sea as bait while we wait for the eagle to get 'em.

After coming back to the hotel from island hopping, we rest for a while and then went out for food hunting again. At first we went to Coconut sunset beach restaurant and thought we could have our dinner while enjoying the sunset there. Unfortunately, the sun doesn't set untill 7 something >_<

We had our dinner at Unkaishan Japanese restaurant after witnessing the best sunset ever. The chef and waitresses there are all Japs. Each of us ordered a don (rice) set. We also ordered a grilled lobster, a teriyaki lobster and shabu shabu. I especially like the combination of teriyaki sauce and lobster meat. *Drooling*

Apparently, my friend found out that Unkaishan is actually listed as Malaysia's best restaurant in 2005. I haven't taste all Jap restaurant in m'sia yet so no comment on this title but personally the food is yummy for me, i'll rate 4 out of 5 for its food and services.

This wrap up my Langkawi trip. A great place for holiday even though the beach may not be as beautiful as redangs. Heaven for choc, ciggy and liquor lovers n_n

Everybody evolve through time including me. There were times where I acted immaturely, did things which I think I would not do now, said things that made myself a fool and so on. No doubt these are all embarrassing moments of my life, but without them I don’t think I’ll become the person who I am now. People tend to see things clearer when time goes by. We have to learn from our own and others mistakes to become a better person. So, whatever that already happened, don’t take it too serious, and just let it be. Let bygone be bygone, so on and so on.

Last semester, I had this prejudice on a particular lecturer because he kinda embarrassed me in front of the whole class and then I started to skip his lectures. Now, I think I had the wrong perception on him and he’s actually a quite good lecturer that cares for students. So, I promised myself I will try me best to perform well in his subject this semester to “repay” the prejudice. One thing is that when we did anything wrong, we often find it hard to admit what we have done is wring and apologize to the person we hurt. Even now, I still face this problem regularly.
